A Bedtime Tales is a 1947 American animated anthology film co-directed by Isadore Sparber and Bill Tytla, and written by Nancy Farwell, Bill Tuner, Irving Dressler, Jack Mercer and Seymour Kneitel (who is also co-producer of this film alongside Sparber). It features seven bedtimes stories. It also have live action scenes before introducing to each animated segments. It stars Edward Brophy in the role of the father of two children.
It was produced by Famous Studios and it was released by Paramount Pictures on July 25, 1947, and it was grossed $8.6 million from theatrical distribution rentals over a $5 million budget, making Paramount a head start to compete with Disney in the animation field, and paved way for future animated films. The film had gained a cult following in recent years.
