Arlene: The Rise of Good & Evil is a 2007 American animated comedy musical adventure film produced by Nickelodeon Movies and ClearWorld Entertainment. It was directed by Thalia Ward, Tianna Hopes, and Chris Savino from a screenplay by Hopes and David N. Weiss and a story by Ward, Hopes, and Kyler Fischer. It is the third installment in the Arlene franchise, following 2004's Arlene: The Second Part.
Arlene: The Rise of Good & Evil held its world premiere at the Bow Tie Criterion Cinemas on February 24, 2007, and was released in the United States on March 16, 2007. It received mixed reviews from critics, but was a box office success, earning $783 million worldwide on its $85 million budget, becoming the fifth highest-grossing film of 2010. It was followed by Arlene: The Final Part on June 7, 2013.

Following the success of Arlene: The Second Part, a third Arlene movie was announced in February 2003 by ClearWorld Entertainment CEO Thalia Ward: "Arlene is at least three: maybe more, but we know there are at least three chapters to that story."

Arlene: The Rise of Good & Evil premiered at the Bow Tie Criterion Cinemas on February 24, 2007. The American release followed on March 16, 2007. It was originally scheduled to be released in May 2007, but the release date was later assigned to Shrek the Third.
Marketing[]
- The official teaser was released on March 31, 2006, and was shown before Ice Age: The Meltdown, The Wild, Akeelah and the Bee, RV, Alternate Reality, Over the Hedge, Cars, Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties, Nacho Libre, and The Teen Gang Movie.
