Candy Quest is a 2008 American computer-animated adventure comedy film produced by Nickelodeon Movies and Nickelodeon Animation Studio for Paramount Pictures. Directed and produced by John A. Davis, from a screenplay by Brian Lynch, Jon Vitti and Robert Gordon and stars the voices of Kevin Hart, David Tennant, Jonah Hill, and Anne Hathaway. It follows a group of workers at a candy factory are set up to start out an adventure to save everybody in the city and stop an ink monster.
Candy Quest was released on May 9, 2008 in the United States, and was met with mixed critical reception, while the general public received it favorably. Despite the mixed reception, the film was a box office success, grossing $168 million worldwide on its $55 million budget.

The idea for Candy Quest began with Aaden Chase, who envisioned the film as a animated comedy adventure. The film entered development in 2002, with John A. Davis as the film's directors with a tentative release scheduled for a summer 2007 release.

In June 2007, Mark Mothersbaugh, who composed the score for the Rugrats film trilogy, was revealed to be returning to Nickelodeon Movies to score Candy Quest. Interscope Records released the soundtrack on May 2, 2008

Candy Quest was originally scheduled for a May 23, 2008 release, but Paramount Pictures moved the release up to September 12, 2008, mainly due to the 2007–08 Writers Guild of America strike.
Marketing[]
- The official teaser was released on October 12, 2007, and was shown before The Adventures to the Treasure Island, Galactic Quest, Bee Movie, Jeremy: Extreme Sports, Enchanted, Alvin and the Chipmunks, National Treasure: Book of Secrets, and The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep.
- The theatrical trailer was released on February 14, 2008, and was shown before The Spiderwick Chronicles, Brave Flocks, Horton Hears a Who!, Mission Rita, Nim's Island, Who is Susie Rabbit?, Speed Racer, The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Kung Fu Panda, WALL-E, Space Chimps, and Fly Me to the Moon.
