Before the release of The Missing Journey, George Burke suggested to Nancy Farwell that Crawler, Liger and Ratty would be a recurring Paramount character in a similar manner to the Disney character Jiminy Cricket, meaning the character would make numerous other appearances, in which Paramount accepted the offer. So the trio appeared in The Magic Palace, where they now worked for Mr. Stafford.
