Jeremy Jaguar is a 2013 American live-action/animated action-adventure comedy film produced by Paramount Animation for Paramount Pictures. It is the 62nd film produced by the studio. It was directed by Brad Bird and Don Bluth from a screenplay by Bill Kelly, Bird and Penny Fleischer, and stars Ben Affleck, Josh Peck, Selena Gomez, Pual Giamatti, Demi Lovato, Seth Rogen, Neil Flynn, Paul Giamatti and Domhnall Gleeson. The film who comical, cowardly jaguar named Jeremy gets lost in the real world with his friends, which they must join forces with a detective named Scout Kneitel, who is investigate the murder of a well-known businessman, to return to their world and avoid an evil judge who plans to destroy them.

Jeremy Jaguar held its world premiere at the Regency Village Theater, Westwood in Los Angeles on March 23, 2013, and was released in the United States on April 5, 2013 in RealD 3D. It received mixed-to-positive reviews from critics, who praised for visuals, humor, writing, animation and performance, but critized for its similarities to Who Framed Roger Rabbit? and Looney Tunes: Back in Action.

Jeremy Jaguar premiered at the Regency Village Theater on March 23, 2013. The American release followed on April 5, 2013. It was originally scheduled to be released on December 14, 2012, but the release date was later pushed back to April.

Jeremy Jaguar was digitally remastered into IMAX 3D format and released in select international IMAX theatres. This film was also shown in the 4DX format, featuring tilting seats, water sprays, strobe lightning, aroma, wind, pops, and ticklers, in selected countries. The film's North American theatrical release was preceded by The Perfect Touch, a 2D-animated short film directed by Alexandra Farwell and Dalia Reed.

Marketing[]

The first teaser trailer was released during the 2012 Kids' Choice Awards on March 31, 2012, and was later attached into Fairy Tale Times, and Traffic Enforcers in theaters. The film's second teaser trailer was released on June 3, 2012, and was attached into Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted five days later. The theatrical trailer was released on November 1, 2012, and was later attached to Wreck-It Ralph, and Rise of the Guardians. The second theatrical trailer was released on February 8, 2013 and was shown in front of Dark & Night, Escape from Planet Earth, Jack the Giant Slayer, The Croods and G.I. Joe: Retaliation.

Several merchandise were made for Jeremy Jaguar, such as toys and figurines. Tie-ins with McDonald's, Airheads, Fisher-Price, Ziploc, and Best Buy, were used to promote the film. A balloon themed after Jeremy Jaguar debuted at the 2012 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Video game[]

A video game based on the film was released on April 9, 2013 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, Wii U, Nintendo DS, and Nintendo 3DS.

Home media[]

Jeremy Jaguar was released on DVD and Blu-ray on July 9, 2013. A 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray version was released on September 4, 2018.
