Julie Sophia Levine-Young (born September 1, 1954) is an American director, producer, screenwriter, animator, voice actor, artist, and the current CEO of Paramount Animation and Head of Animation of RCH Animation and Blue Sky Studios.

Early life[]

Young was born in Los Angeles, California, the oldest of four children to lawyer Alexander Young and teacher Miranda Young.

Career[]

Young gained an interest in animation at a young age from viewing old Disney movies at a local theatre. After graduating high school in 1979, he attended USC, majoring in art. She also partook in working in animation at Paramount Cartoon Studios. Her first work at Paramount was The Prince and the Pauper.

Personal life[]

Young is married to John Levine (b. November 11, 1955), an animator from Viacom Animation. They have three children: Selah Elizabeth (b. July 8, 2001), Jonathan Mitchell (b. October 2, 2006) and Kaylie Scarlett (b. March 20, 2008). Jonathan provided the voice of young Prince Flamo in The Flamingo Prince.

She resides in Los Angeles, California, a few of blocks north of the Paramount Animation headquarters.
