Paramount Kids is an American pay television network and children's program block that is owned by the Paramount Global through its Paramount Media Networks division. The network broadcasts children's programming and takes the branding of the sister company, Paramount Pictures. The channel and block mostly features animated shows and a few live-action shows under Paramount and a few select third-party programs. It primarily aimed at children and teenagers.
The block and channel airing mainly programming from Paramount Animation, Miramax Animation, Games Animation, Worldwide Comics, and Nickelodeon, also airing select content from other companies.

On February 9, 2017, Viacom announced that Spike TV would be rebranded as Paramount Network in 2018 and move its headquarters to Paramount Pictures in Hollywood to give the network a closer association with the film studio. This was part of a restructuring plan by new Viacom CEO Bob Bakish to refocus the majority of its media business around six flagship brands, which included Paramount, BET, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., and MTV. Later, after the announcement, Viacom also announced that they planned to come up with a new Saturday morning programming block for Paramount Network, which it will aimed for children.
In March 2017, Viacom teamed up with select companies to launch a new block for the channel. After several discussions, the channel announced the intent to launch a brand-new children's program block Paramount Kids. Immediately, Paramount Kids was announced and born. On September 30, 2017, Spike placed its first look in its Facebook account.
On November 2017, the first promo for the block aired on TV and was posted on YouTube with thousands and thousands of likes. The next month, Paramount Television Animation and Nickelodeon Animation Studio had plans to create original series for the block. Thereby, (although first aired on Nick Jr.), Natalia's Story Tales was officially labeled as the first Paramount Kids original series. In addition, other companies including studios outside of U.S. would also produce original series for Paramount Kids while also creating it for their own countries. Later in the same month, Power Rangers was confirmed to be moving from Nickelodeon to the block. Viacom acquired the broadcasting rights to pre-2006 Paramount Television Animation and Games Animation from CBS Corporation until the re-merger in 2019.
On February 7, 2018, a month before the block premiere, the full starting lineup for the block was confirmed. The next month, the block finally premiered.

Mascots[]
Like Paramount Kids Magazine, the channel has two mascots: a young girl named Malia (voiced by Grey Griffin) and a happy-go-lucky star named Lucky (voiced by Tom Kenny), both being created by Sparkles and Gloom creators Melissa Wolfe and Anne Walker. They primarily announce the upcoming cartoons, host the blocks and host special events as well.

Its schedule consists of animated and live-action series aimed at the child and teenager demographic. The network has an array of original series produced by Paramount Television Animation and non-original series that are suitable for the targeted age.

- Both the block and the channel have a characteristic 7-note tune as its jingle, strongly resembling the final notes of 2012 Paramount Pictures logo.
- It is the first children's Saturday morning cartoon block since now-defunct NBC Kids.
- After the success of the block, this has started a renaissance of Saturday Morning kids blocks.
- The Paramount Television Animation closing logo has been modified after the launch of the channel. While it retains the 2006 logo, "Television Animation" is now written by a cartoon hand.
- For Noveltoons and general productions, "Television Animation" is written by Friendly Fox, for films-based productions, it is written by Meredith, for Toony Tales and Games Animation productions, it is written by Reed Dog, for Worldwide Comics productions, it is written by Blooper and for CBS productions (since 2019), it is written by Mighty Mouse.
