The Little Princess is a 2003 American animated fantasy comedy-drama musical film produced by Paramount Feature Animation. It was directed by Ash Brannon and Rob Minkoff, produced by Max Howard, and Chris Jenkins, and written by Irene Mecchi and Julie Young from a story by Young. The film is loosely based on the 1905 children's novel of the same name by Frances Hodgson Burnett, as well as the 1939 and 1995 film adaptations of the story.

Development of The Little Princess began in 1997, when Julie Young was interested on the 1905 children's novel, as well as the 1995 film. In 2001, Ash Brannon and Rob Minkoff were approached to direct the film. The Little Princess was released by Paramount Pictures on November 26, 2003, and received positive reviews from critics, who praised its animation but criticized its story. Grossing $67.8 million on a $52 million budget, Paramount suffered a $130 million loss, which nearly made its feature animation division file for bankruptcy and led it to abandon traditional animation for computer animation until 2011's The Flamingo Prince. It is considered to be one of the biggest box office bombs of all time, but is also considered to be a cult favorite.
