- Like the television series, the film was produced and animated by Nickelodeon Animation Studios in Burbank, California. The animation is hand-drawn and was produced using Wacom Cintiq tablets, which allowed images to be drawn directly onto a computer monitor to facilitate production. The animation for The Loud House: The Louds' First Movie was done by Jam Filled Entertainment in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, with the former having provided the animation for the television series using Toon Boom Harmony, the traditional animation studio software that can take character models and composite them into 2D, it helps to create limbs on characters such as, hair, head, arms, legs and body to have characters move automatically, it helps the designers and artists to give the animation a right layout. As with the television series, the storyboarding, character designs, background layout, general animation, and animatic parts of production, were done at Nickelodeon's Burbank animation studio in America. The overseas studio completed the camera work, inbetweening, and digital ink and paint before shipping the animation back to the United States.
- The Loud House: The Louds' First Movie contains an Angela Anaconda-style opening sequence from Unfabulous was animated by Nick Digital East with the main characters from Unfabulous and The Loud House with black-and-white photorealistic heads superimposed over animated bodies while the animated faces of any Loud House characters (such as Lincoln, Lori, Leni, Luna, Luan, Lynn, Lucy, Lana and Lola, Lisa, Lily, Lynn Sr., Rita and Clyde) are traditionally animated by Nickelodeon Animation Studios.
Visual Effects[]
- While the characters and backgrounds are traditionally animated, Nickelodeon Digital Animation Studios in Burbank, California often used CGI for fast or complex shots, such as the movement of the hatch door for Lisa's Underground Bunker, Chandler McCann's robot, explosions, large crowds, the various rides at the Dairyland Amoosement Park, the vehicles (such as Vanzilla, Lola's Princess Car, Sick Bike, Tandem Bike, Pink Bike, Yellow Limo, White Limo, Mr. Grouse's Car, School Bus, etc.) and other scenes. The CGI was rendered at 24 frames per second (as opposed to hand-drawn often done at 12 frames per second) and the lack of artifacts made the animation appear very smooth and fluid. LightWave 3D was used to draw the comic-like CGI while the composition crew used Toon Boom and the background paint was done in Adobe Photoshop.

Moon felt that the score was a "unique challenge", and he had to "try and express the style of The Loud House without wearing the audience out". He used the show's theme song composed by Doug Rockwell and written by Doug Rockwell and Michelle Lewis, but did not wish to overuse it. Guy Moon created themes for each member of the family.
