Toony Tales: Worldwide West is a 1996 American animated comedy slapstick Western film produced by Games Animation. It is the seventh theatrical film in the Toony Tales film franchise, was directed by Bill Kroyer and co-directed by Frederik Du Chau, and written by Sherri Stoner and Deanna Oliver. The regular voice cast of the series reprise their respective roles from the series and the previous films, alongside new members Winona Ryder, John Gleese, Hank Azaria, Randy Quaid and Thomas F. Wilson. Toony Tales: Worldwide West parodies and inspired by other western films, primarily Blazing Saddles (1974) and An American Tail: Fievel Goes West (1991). It was Dana Hill's final role before she died two months after the film's release.
The film follows Reed and some of his Toony Tales gang are going to a town in the Wild West, during which he finds love. However, they discover that many evil cowboy outlaws led by Catty J. Reilly, along with their arch enemy Big Joe and his gang, have threatened all of the West. With the help with of Smedley and Peppy, it's up to Reed to become a sheriff in order to save the town. The film also had three subplots connected in some way with each other; Patty and Charlie are looking for food and water, while they being chased by the hungry coyotes from the West; Raymond Fox must team up with a rabbit in his journey to rescue his farm and the town's cows and battle against well-known bandit; Lenny, Jenna and Ted decided to save the town from the villainous Dead Tail Max's tyranny. However, these villains are actually working for an attorney general named Holden Rockwell.
Toony Tales: Worldwide West was theatrically released on March 29, 1996, by Paramount Pictures, and was a critical and commercial success, earning over $194 million against its $40 million budget. The film was released on home media on August 6, 1996. In recent years, the film has garnered a cult following.
Plot[]
Before the movie started, Reed Dog presented their third feature film, although Smedley Cat mistaken that it's his movie. In 1892, during the American frontier times, an greedy attorney general Holden Rockwell wanted to build his brand new railroad of his very own. However, it can't be competed since the place known as Dead Tail Gulch was already there ever since it's been founded. Much to his dismay, Holden wanted the Dead Tail Gulch's residents out of the town and sends a gang of thugs, led by Target, to trash the town.
Meanwhile, Reed and Smedley were living their bored life in New York City since they discovers that conditions ideal as they had hoped, as they find themselves struggling against the attacks of a gang of crooks. Reed spends his day thinking about the Wild West as he always dreams of. While being chased by Smedley, Peppy hears the sound of a beautiful voice, but he finally caught Peppy before he can find out who she is while Miss Bow Wow knock out them into the trash.

Toony Tales: Worldwide West was originally scheduled for release in holiday 1995 but was later pushed back to its current date of March 1996 in order for the production team to work more on the story and animation as well as to avoid competition with 20th Century Fox's Night & Day, Disney/Pixar's Toy Story and Amblimation's Balto.

Toony Tales: Worldwide West was released on VHS and LaserDisc on August 6, 1996. The was later released on DVD on November 26, 2002, in conjunction with Toony Tales 60th anniversary celebration; the DVD contained both full-screen and widescreen presentations. The film was released on Blu-ray and DVD on March 29, 2016, for the film's 15th anniversary.
